June 19, 2018 - Ten years ago in Mount Pleasant, SC and fourteen years ago in Sunset Beach, NC I remember laying flat on my back during a break from moving work to escape the smothering heat and to recover from excessive sweating.  Anything over 90° can be harmful past the day of your move if we do not take due diligence to protect our health.  That is one big reason we do not start a substantial job at noon.  It must start at 9 or 9:30am.  The afternoon hours must be a slide to work completion.  It's going to stay this way through August.

May 23, 2018 - We believe that when you keep your goods with you in your own possession that not only will you save money, but you also will know the chain of custody and the landscape or terrain from start to finish.  For example: if you take the truck mud bogging after we load it, then you can expect some damage.  If you cut the corner curb and whiplash the entire cargo, then you might suffer some damage.  We've loaded trucks that suffered a flat tire and were towed from the front, and nothing slid backwards to the truck door.  We do our best.  Let me add a note about PODS.  They don't float on air.  They are susceptible to shake, rattle, and roll too, as they sit up atop a flat-bed truck.  In fact, the forces up there are enhanced, and you are not the driver.  You are not around.  Neither are we.

May 21, 2018 - How much does it cost to hire movers to load my rental truck?  A yellow '26 Penske diesel may take from 2.5 to 4 hours to load and 75% of that same time to unload.  Larger items displace the space quicker and shoe boxes will take much longer, especially if any distance to the truck is in play.  Get a '20 Uhaul truck loaded in 1.5 hours or 2.  As you can see, a load and unload local relocation is a 3.5 to 6 hour proposition.  We are $90/hour with a 3 or 4 hours minimum in most Wilmington areas.
